QS aim to provide Skills training in a manner designed to suit the needs of the client organisation. Some clients with large procurement organisations need regular courses covering a range of disciplines. QS trainers have experience of running a large range of courses and would be happy to discuss individual needs.
QS also understand that some clients may require skills development which is unique and we are therefore happy to develop courses which are focused on the client's specific needs.
Skills development standard training courses with multiple delegates are obviously the most cost effective way of delivering skills development in the majority of cases. If you only have four or less delegates you should consider using standard courses shared with other clients. For five or more delegates an in-house course may prove more cost effective.
QS are always interested in developing new methods of developing skills. We have worked extensively with clients on a range training strategies and we now have an excellent understand of what works and what does not. Please contact us to talk about your needs.

Locations • Mentoring enables an individual to benefit from the guidance of a more experienced Practitioner. Typically a mentor would discuss the indivual's plans, strategy and approach and provide him or her with a critical friend. This appraoch works well as a method of learning on the job.
Coaching adds an additional layer to the mentoring schemes for indivuals who desire more assistance. The QS coach will help more with the structure and transfer key skills. The individual should have complete understanding of his/her role within a live environment.
Coaching and mentoring is appropriate for professionals at all levels. This is a role that is quite often met by line managers however in some cases clients find that the line manager either does not have the required skill set or cannot devote the appropriate amount of time to do this effectively. Some individuals need the assistance of a Practitioner because they are embeded in a client department or are physically remote from co-workers.
This learning method can be quite useful because it focuses on the individual and the areas which need attention. This is usually quite difficult to achieve in standard training sessions.

Links • QS Skills assessments use a mixture of computer based tools and human assessment to look at the skills investment clients currently have. It also looks at area where the client wishes to develop skills, identifies gaps and looks at possible Learning & Development strategies.
A skill analysis is the best way to understand the investment any client has made and in his/her people and highlight the next steps in increasing that investment.
QS have a range of methods of identifying, presenting and reporting on the skills of the client's workforce. Clients often request skills audits following a recruitment campaign or a change in focus or emphasis of the team. QS will want to discuss the type assessment with the client to ensure that it chieves the desired objectives.

Enquiries • All quality and project management facilities are managed by our QSBuy system. This monitors progress and client satisfaction at each key stage of the client contract. Our in house specialists in quality management consultancy oversee our quality management programme. QS is BS EN ISO 9001 accredited.
QS Buy 2008 handles the logging, monitoring and tracking of orders, management of projects including timescales, targets and milestones, and comparisons to time utilisation information flowing in electronically from the consultants. The system can communicate via e-commerce links to clients and consulting teams.
The Engagement Function manages QS resources, checking availability of consultants, co-ordinating activities and liaising with clients to schedule and monitor projects. Technology is used to update the systems in a timely fashion with reports, schedules, and orders flowing automatically.
In order to ensure that QS addresses any quality issues at the earliest possible opportunity, we monitor the progress of each project and regularly communicate with client representatives. We also carry out an independent review, post-assignment to monitor customer satisfaction.
