"Quality data and Value for Money” We take pride in good quality consumer research. Great care is taken in the recruitment and interviewing of consumers in controlled environments. This approach allows us to thoroughly understand perceptions and motivations. Good data and sophisticated statistical analysis gives us the confidence to provide you with the right guidelines to create winning products. QS provide a range of research services in support of Public Consultation:
• Home Surveys
• Customer Surveys
• Telephone Surveys
• Public Surveys
• On-line surveys
• Staff Surveys
• Focus Groups
MATHEMATICAL MODELLING "Eliminating the guess work." We use precise consumer response data to identify key product, ingredient and marketing relationships. Our aim is to use our sophisticated statistical tools to give clear guidelines for the right decision.
PRODUCT MAPPING "Getting it right first time." We use product mapping to define and select the best formulation and marketing platform for your product. We can identify which products appeal to consumers and why, and indicate gaps and trends in the market.
CONDUCTING THE SURVEYS "How do we get the right information?" We conduct online surveys using technology appropriate for the audience being surveyed. For example we survey schools using strong designs to ensure our surveys are attractive to young people. We don't limit our surveys to stopping people in the street for quick interviews. Our interviews can be carried out in a person’s home on a one-to-one basis or, where appropriate, within small focus groups. We always make sure that the target profile of interviewees is met to ensure a statistically valid cross section of opinion is gathered.
PRESENTING THE SURVEYS "How do we make sense of the data?" As well as presenting written reports and analyses, including management summaries. We also provide online reporting so that management and other stakeholders can access the results directly. This is of great benefit where timescales are tight or organisations complex with many stakeholders.

Social Marketing • a lot more than just advertising and communications.
Social Marketing is an important means of encouraging people to make the personal lifestyle choices and positive changes in their behaviour to help improve their own and their community’s wellbeing. Through promoting “prevention” – before a “cure” is needed – social marketing is not only cost effective, but can also help targeted segments of the population enjoy a more favourable outcome and life experience.
We follow the National Social Marketing Centre’s Social Marketing Benchmark Criteria. With experience of both the Public and Private Sectors and both practical and academic marketing skills, we are very well placed to cover the “two parents” of Social Marketing.
By gaining a comprehensive insight into public behaviour and segmenting the audience, QS identify an appropriate marketing mix to deliver the desired intervention in pursuit of policy objectives.
Holistic approach • we do not constrain ourselves to the design and delivery of the marketing campaign but, where needed, will also offer recommendations for tuning the way in which a service is delivered to achieve the maximum effect and value for money.
Policy, strategy and operational programmes • whether we are working to improve understanding and insight to inform policy and strategy development, or at an operational level to implement a specific campaign, we have the skills and experience in market research, marketing and marketing services to deliver a seamless approach to social marketing. At whatever level we are asked to work we endeavour to assemble a firm evidence base and then use best practice to ensure that our clients can deliver effective outcomes.

Brand • Having gained a comprehensive insight into behaviour and segmenting the audience, we help identify an appropriate marketing mix to deliver the desired intervention in pursuit of policy objectives.
If you have a business, you have a brand; and our creative experts can make yours unique, effective and profitable. We don't just deliver design; we build you a sustainable market identity that's a 'fit' with your strategy.
Creating brands. A brand is the essence of your business distilled into a value proposition for your customers, your staff, and your community of stakeholders. We guide you through the whole creative and commercial process from conception to ongoing management and measurement of brand performance.
Refreshing brands. Re-invigorating your corporate identity isn't just a matter of redesigning the logo. It's about signalling change and setting expectations. We combine creative and commercial evaluation with practical recommendations for a refresh that will really deliver.
Internal communications: living the brand. Successful brands work as hard inside the organisation as they do outside. We can assist you with:
• Vision, mission and values development
• Customer experience and 'touchpoints'
• Staff satisfaction surveys
• Engagement campaigns
Brand management: nurturing real asset value. Strong brands and good reputations deliver vastly improved effectiveness. The benefits of a well managed brand are many and self reinforcing. We help you to understand and manage the core components.

Communications & Design • Our design ideas use images and words, typography and code to clarify and communicate what organisations need to achieve for themselves and the public. What we produce represents our clients to the world so we’re keen that we develop it successfully together. The most important thing to do is listen. To listen to what the client is ultimately trying to achieve and agreeing what a successful outcome would be.
We work with large corporations, public sector organisations and charities on both long term and one off projects, but also for much smaller businesses and marketing partners who want to reach people effectively.
We are members of The Design Business Association. The DBA exists to promote professional excellence through productive partnerships between commerce and the design industry to champion effective design. Our membership enables us to quickly find relevant commercial information, such as copyright law, and benchmark ourselves against other design businesses with regard to fees and services. With the support of the DBA, we are working to educate, inform and inspire our clients on the impact design can have on their businesses.
IDENTITIES “It’s who we are it’s what we want to be, it’s what we want others to see and say about us...”
WEBSITES can be wonderful and they can be horrible...
PUBLISHING we are the design and presentation creators for other people’s ideas in magazines, books, newsletters and now of course websites...

Public Consultation •
ACCEPTANCE "Will they support our initiative?" We scientifically measure public response and motivation. The high quality data we gather enables us to understand and make accurate predictions on the likely take up of services and insight into how best to tailor services to achieve the maximum effect for each intervention.
PERCEPTION "What will make them use my product or change their behaviour?" Using the latest techniques, we are able to gain an insight into how the public actually perceive public services and initiatives and identify gaps and trends.
EVALUATION "What are the key elements and priorities?" We provide a sophisticated evaluation service of public attitudes to services and policies. Expertise in group dynamics enables us to explore in-depth the participants' functional and emotional responses. Using mathematical modelling techniques, we are able to overcome the subjectivity of language and avoid translator bias where multi-lingual research is needed.
